[Official] Go to Settings > Audio and speak while watching Microphone Activity. If the meter does not bounce, first test the microphone in another app, then check its connection, hardware mute switch, boom position, Mute Mode, and the in-game moderation menu.
Check whether Big Walk sees the microphone
- Open Settings > Audio.
- Speak normally and watch the Microphone Activity indicator.
- If it does not move, test the same microphone in another app or website.
- Reconnect the microphone or headset fully and check its physical mute switch.
- Move a boom microphone closer to your mouth and test again.
Check talk mode and moderation
[Official] In Settings > Audio, check Mute Mode. If it is set to hold, you must hold the assigned button while speaking. Also make sure no player has silenced you in the moderation menu.
Use text chat if a microphone is unavailable
[Official] Big Walk can be completed with its in-game text chat. Text follows the same intentional distance and obstruction limitations as voice and works with communication items such as walkie-talkies.
